Jammu, Sep 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) A man was reportedly shot dead inside his residence in Jammu on Thursday, police said.
Officials said that a man succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained inside his residence in the city, and police have started an investigation into the incident after lodging an FIR at the police station concerned.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Sharma, 35, a resident of Reshamgarh Colony and a newspaper hawker by profession.
According to his relatives, Sharma was allegedly shot in the forehead by an unidentified assailant, who entered the house around noon.
Following the incident, police reached the location and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting and identify the perpetrator.
The victim’s body was subsequently shifted to the mortuary of Government Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination, officials said. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
